Community Links

RHSC benefits from and contributes to numerous links with our local community. Through these partnerships we aim to enrich our students' experience at school, whilst at the same time ensuring all students become aware of their place in the wider community and how we can serve it effectively. RHSC has many active links.

Bernard Matthews Ltd

Bernard Matthews has long been a supporter of the school and every one of our students has benefits from their ongoing generosity. The extent of this partnership is detailed on the website, and includes regular educational 'Impact' days held at school, sponsorship of sixth form students throughout their time at university, annual mentoring of Year 11 students, a unique Year 10 Work Experience programme and other one off projects.

Reepham Rotary Club and the Reepham Business Network

Both of these organisations contribute to the educational and personal development of our students in many ways, for example by providing leaders at the annual Year 11 'Careers' day, and by supporting students who might struggle to make their post 16 choices. They also deliver approximately 80 mini careers talks to Year 10 as part of the Careers Education programme. In addition to this the Rotary Club have instigated, sponsored and led an annual speaking competition called 'Youth Speaks', now in its third year and still growing! We are grateful to them all.

Whitwell Hall Country Centre

The school is fortunate to have such a centre on its door step that is committed to supporting young people. The main focus of this is when the centre works with a small group of students every year in supporting them gain a formal qualification in personal effectiveness. This takes many forms, but one of the annual highlights is when the centre staff lead the students in the preparation and serving of a wonderful christmas dinner to elderly local residents. Seeing the young members of the community serve the elderly with such care and respect is a fantastic occasion for all.
